Our Church

Christ Church is an open-evangelical-style Church, which means that we feel that the Word of God is most important, and that doctrines and traditional teachings should not be forgotten.

But this does not mean that we are not a Church for today!

We are a church with a wide range of people in our congregation. From the youngest members of our Junior Church so life-long members, we welcome everyone into our family.

The services we offer are varied, with a mixture of the important traditional-style services and more modern family worship services. For these services we are blessed with both a beautiful organ and a talented worship group. For major festivals such as Easter, Penticost and Christmas there is often a mixture of the two!

For a history of the church please see the History of the Building page.

There are also numerous uniformed organisations attached to Christ Church.

The 16th Halifax Boys' Brigade Company meets at both the church and the school, and caters for boys aged 6-18, and new boys are always welcome. For more info, please click here.

The Girl Guides (from Rainbows to Brownies to Guides) also meets in the school, and for more information please click here.
