Remembrance Sunday at Christ Church Sowerby Bridge
"We will remember them."
Join us on Remembrance Sunday as we gather as a community to honour the memory of those who gave their lives in service to their country.
Sunday 10th November
Act of Remembrance at Crow Wood Park
Gather at 10:30 AM
Crow Wood Park, Rochdale Rd, Sowerby Bridge, Halifax HX2 7NR
We will assemble at Crow Wood Park for an Act of Remembrance led by Revd. Tommy and Mrs. Anthea Gee. The service will begin promptly at 10:45am with a moment of silence at 11am to remember all those who have given their lives in the service of peace and freedom.
This special gathering brings together the entire community to stand in unity and honour the courage, sacrifice, and memories of the fallen.
Service of Remembrance at Christ Church
Later in the day, at 4:00 PM, we will meet in church for a Service of Remembrance with Holy Communion. This sacred service will be an opportunity to reflect, pray, and remember all who have served and sacrificed for their country. The service is open to all, and we invite you to join us in this time of collective remembrance and gratitude.
Everyone is Welcome
We extend a warm invitation to the entire community to join us in honouring those who have served in the armed forces, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and their families. Whether you join us at Crow Wood Park or in church*, or both, your presence is a powerful way to remember and give thanks.
Together, let us never forget the brave men and women who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. Let us stand as a community in remembrance and hope.
