Christ Church CE (VA) Junior School is a small, vibrant school for children aged 7-11, located in the heart of Sowerby Bridge. We maintain a close relationship with Tuel Lane Infant School, our feeder school.
Established in 1971, the school replaced the Ellison Memorial School and expanded with a classroom extension in 2004. Our single-storey building includes five classrooms, a library, two areas for small group work, and a main hall.
We are fortunate to have extensive outdoor grounds that provide endless opportunities for outdoor learning. These grounds feature a large grassy area for various sports, two playgrounds, a wooden activity trail, a tiered vegetable patch, a wildlife area with a pond, and an outdoor tyre park and shelter.
